The 1st XI are playing A Grade cricket right now yet only a small group of people close enough to know this. With 300 + scores in the last 2 games that have been washed out there are good solid foundations being laid each week. The last 2 one days games were decided on the last ball and 2nd last ball respectively, which is always hard to swallow yet this group will not be making excuses. We are here to get more runs than the opposition and then take 10 wkts in 2 day games. To beat the opposition and the weather is part of the game. Batting is strong with bowling proving to be the enigma. 4 young Strapping young men lead the attack with talent and only time will tell if they are able to consistently take 10 wkts a match. With the hard work applied on the track the catches are being taken to fully support this group of committed players Christmas gives a good indication of the good teams so if we hit the half way mark in the top group you will see a team that will take some beating playing at Windy Hill. Chris Rogers joins us this week vs Geelong and will supply the selectors with some tough (and Healthy) selection issues. Players are no longer putting their hands up but demanding selection like Paul Gloury with three 100's this year in 6 hits! Go Bombers, Hutchy
